Yes, bullying is disgusting! So is self-serving behavior!
Mr. Kadelski claims that other Board members were standing up to "bullying." I strongly disagree with that characterization.
Disagreement is not bullying. Asking questions, raising concerns about conflicts of interest, requesting compliance with laws and regulations, and holding public officials accountable are all part of public service.
Throughout my time on the Board, I focused on following the law, applying regulations fairly, and treating all residents and businesses equally. At times, that led to disagreements with other Board members. Disagreements can be uncomfortable, but they should not be confused with harassment or bullying. Indeed Brookfield has a problem.
I would also encourage residents to view full meeting recordings rather than relying on short, edited clips. A few seconds of video rarely capture the full context of a discussion or the conduct of all participants involved.
Ultimately, residents should judge my service based on the complete public record, my actions, and my commitment to transparency, fairness, and accountability—not on labels or selective excerpts.
Yes, bullying is disgusting! So is self-serving behavior!
